"When in Florence"

I am doing an Events Planning internship abroad in Florence, Italy for 4 months. I am learning Italian and their unique culture. I'm so intrigued on how they speak and live their daily lives. I can't wait to share my experience with you!

We arrived and took the train to the "city built on water."

Last weekend me and 7 of my friends went to Carnivale in Venice. It was soooo interesting and you could be anyone you wanted for the day. I brought a mask and had the time of my life. We traveled there by bus, which was a four hour bus write playing truth or dare and silly card games. We arrived and took the train to the "city built on water." How would you like to live in a city where there are canals instead of streets and boats instead of cars? It would be an interesting lifestyle to lead. The myth is that Venice will crumble any day now and sink into the sea, but from my point of view it looked fine. We ran around the bridges of Venice and had carnival food, rode in a gondola, ate at a Jazz place called Bacaro Jazz, where there we bras on the top of the ceiling and then partied all night long. One problem was that me and two other people lost track of time and we were suppose to be back on the bus by 11:30...well we ran to the train station just to catch a glimpse of the tail end of the train that was going to take us back to the bus. We were left in Venice and were not able to get another train till 20 minutes later. The bus left us and we had to catch a 3 a.m. train back to Florence. I pulled a 24 hour trip to Venice and as much as I was exhausted...I will always remember the day we were just seconds late for the train...time flies when your having fun!!!!!!!!
