"When in Florence"

I am doing an Events Planning internship abroad in Florence, Italy for 4 months. I am learning Italian and their unique culture. I'm so intrigued on how they speak and live their daily lives. I can't wait to share my experience with you!

As we waiting for the train to come we thought, "This is the most beautiful train station ever!" It overlooked the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea..it didn't get any better than this we said.

My weekend getaway was to the gorgeous Cinque Terre which means "Five Lands." It was absolutely breathtaking and it was a gorgeous day too. Me and my British friend Tom (he is here traveling around the world as a chef) hopped on a 3 hour train ride to the coast of Italy. You get an all day train pass and ride the train to each piece of land, which are comprised of five villages: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. It's a lot to do in one day and you defiantly need to bring your walking shoes. We hiked up the wide stairs and cautiously crossed over an old wooden bridge and as we waiting for the train to come we thought, "This is the most beautiful train station ever!" It overlooked the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea..it didn't get any better than this we said. We had pizza and gelato at the last village called Monterosso al Mare. We ate near the beach, watched a soccer game on the side and relaxed, while listening to the shore crash along the rocks. We were going to go swimming, but it was too cold, so we settled for hot chocolate and headed home.
