We headed to the villa which was absolutely breathtaking! It's on top of a hill and overlooks the hills and vineyards of Radda.
Recently, I gave up my Saturday to travel with my boss at my internship to meet with clients in Chianti. I took a train from Florence to Chianti and arrived there in less than an hour. I meet up with Sam, my boss, and we rode in his car through the winding roads of Radda. We met the couple who were British and happened to be the grooms parents. We were going to give them a full tour of the places the guest were going to stay and where the wedding will take place. We headed to the villa which was absolutely breathtaking! It's on top of a hill and overlooks the hills and vineyards of Radda. We talked with the parents of the groom who wanted to make sure that there were extra chairs for sitting, where the dancing would take place and if they could see the rooms in the villa. We did end up seeing the rooms in the villa which were amazing. They had 35 beds in them and all were decorated in a gorgeous, baroque style. There were family apartments, single rooms and even kitchens in some, if not all of the apartments. I was blown away on how big the rooms were and what they had to offer. Next, we went to the pool which had the ultimate view of all. They were thinking about having the welcome reception and cutting the cake there, which would be perfect. After our villa visit, we went back down the winding roads and headed to the town of Siena. Siena is famously known for it's Palio horse races twice a year on July 2 and August 16. The Palio is run to celebrate the apparition of the Virgin Mary near the oldest houses that were owned by Provenzano Salvani. It would be an exciting event to attend, but I leave in April. Lastly, we looked at the town hall where the wedding would take place and then parted ways. The wedding would take place On June 4th and I wish I could be there, but this was a good experience. All in all, it was one of the most relaxing and knowledgeable day I have had in Italy so far.
