"When in Florence"

I am doing an Events Planning internship abroad in Florence, Italy for 4 months. I am learning Italian and their unique culture. I'm so intrigued on how they speak and live their daily lives. I can't wait to share my experience with you!

Life is not the amount of breaths you take, it's the moments that take your breath away.

I just came back from the most incredible trip of my life! This past weekend I stayed in Rome for four days and had my breath taken away at each and every historical site. I went with two other girls from my school and we stayed at a friends house, who was extremely hospitable. It was a dream of mine to visit the Trevi Fountain and as I was approaching it on our journey of historic, cobbled-stoned streets, there it was! Flowing and as beautiful as I had dreamt it would be. I came to one realization..."Life is not the amount of breaths you take, it's the moments that take your breath away!" We then walked our way to the Colosseum and I was blown away! It is grand, marvelous...left me speechless. We then traveled to "Vatican City" and spent a whole day going in and out of churches and the grandest of them all, The Sistine Chapel. It was a moment in my life that I would never forget. People travel from all parts of the world to see the famous, Last Judgment and it has you wondering...,"How did Michelangelo do that?" It's a mystery and is an unbelievable work of art that is a MUST SEE when you are in Italy. Anyways, I ended my trip with seeing the Colosseum one last time and with my feet about to fall off because I did so much walking. All in all, it was the best experience in my life and I wouldn't of changed anything about it!
