Toot Suite

Bonjour I had another lovely weekend here in paris. I can hardly keep
track of all the things that I did but I toured around by myself on friday
which was exciting. I just went around the Hotel de Ville near the Ile de
la Cite and walked around near the Notre Dame and then I explored up to the
Tuileries and and the Montmartre an artsy area and the Montparnasse and I
saw the Sacre Coeure and the La Madeleine and the Bastille and many other
little shops and charming cafes and theatres and parks. Florance took me to
a cafe chein noir and then we went out with some of her friends who are very
sweet and kind. They all helped me with my french and everyone was excited
to meet an american. The nightlife is big here and very diverse and
exciting with discotechs et cafes. On Saturday, Florance and I rendez vous
avec elle copain Alex a Champs Elysees and then we ventured into the opera
quarter. I saw the lovely Opera House and we looked around at all the chic
shops on the avenue like Vuitton, Chanel, Doir, Tiffany, etc. Then I went
to dinner at the house of some friends of Florance and we stayed out late
but it was a delicious meal of melon, bourdeaux vin rouge, le porc, et la
flan. Today I went to high mass at Notre Dame and then went to high brunch
at the Jacquemart Andre Museum which was so lovely_look it up on the
Internet; it is so beautiful with french and italian tapestries and frescos
by Boucher et Fragonard. Then we traveled around the area, the Tuileries
quarter and we visited the World Bar designed by Paul Smith. I also saw an
exhibit about Grace Kelly at the Hotel de Ville. We passed all sorts of
street fairs and markets and we visited le parc jacquemare. It has been so
wonderful so far, you haveto experience it to know, oui? Bonjour Je
t'aime
Please forward all my emails back to moi? Merci

 Well, last weekend...

Dear family!
I miss you all-it sounds like everything i going well. I think that I
touched base with you all last friday or thursday, yes? Well, last weekend
I studied for a presentation in cinema class and then I went to the
Tullieries and the Luxumemborg gardens by myself-it was so peaceful and I
saw a little fair in the Tullieries. That night, my friends and I hit up
the Latin Quarter. Sunday, I got up earlish and went to mass at Notre Dame
at 11. It was really crowded but I loved it. I went to breakfast and got
an omlette and went to the famous Shakespeare bookshop nearby. I explored
the Ile de St Louis and then I had to meet my partner for the presentation.
We just hung out in a cafe and got it done and then I took a nap when I got
back. I was beyond exhausted. I kind of took it easy last weekend.
Monday-we went to a concert at the Paris Plage which is basically a huge
celebration when sand is put on the sides of Seine so that tourists can
pretend that they are at the beach. We relaxed there for hours and then we
finally went to dinner at St Michel at this really sweet Italian place (it
looked like it was from Lady and the Tramp) and then went back to cite. On
tuesday, Kendall and I went out again to St Michel to see the Grace Kelly
exhibit-amazing and totally free and we met up with everyone else and went
to Paris Page again. BTW, did I tell you that I saw James Franco, the
famous actor at a theatre when we saw the Bald Soprano? The boys know
him-he was Spiderman's best friend in the movie. Ask them? but he is really
famous! It was exciting-anyways, Wednesday, I went to the Eiffel Tower with
Liz and we climbed up the first 2 floors and then went on the elevator for
the last floor! The view was amazing-I am do glad that I finally did it! I
had seen it many times but never gone up before. It was not even so
expensive only 8 total for students. They have very good student rates
here.
I will write more soon!
XOXOX
