 Kenai Peninsula

This area is our favorite part of Alaska so far. Seward itself is a small town of about 3,000 people on the coast. Tourism is the summer business with fish charters, the Sea Life Center, loads of seafood restaurants, and the start of an Alaska rail route. Like everywhere in Alaska small planes and float planes are everywhere. Some towns have an entire 'airport' on the lake. Our campsite is incredible, we are sitting next to Stone Creek surrounded by glacier packed mountains. The weather continues to be perfect. 60s and 70s during the day and cool at night. All is perfect in our world.

We hiked to Exit Glacier today. The trail was great and the kids got next to a creaking, groaning glacier. The second guy was feeling a little sick but managed the hike and loved it.
