Visited projects of ProPeru in Urubamba in the Sacred Valley. They have loads of cool projects. I was most impressed with the rural stove project. The local director, Javier heads up a stove construction project. They have evolved the type of stove they build free of charge mostly for indigenous families. The ceramic stoves are efficient and burn less fuel, while taking the smoke out of the house and benefiting the health of the families. Very cool project, I highly recomend for anyone wanting to do something sustainable with immediate positive impact. I want to find a way to raise some money to help them build more stoves.
